Sure Foundations

In today’s global and societal upheavals, and a world of such complexity and challenges, we need the unshakable and sure foundations of faith.  Thus, we are in desperate need of those champions of faith who are willing to be courageous leaders of change; those who can provoke us to think beyond the status quo of cosmetic Christianity, directing us in renewed vision and hope.

Those who are not merely presenting a list of theoretical concepts, but by the fruit of their lives and ministry have proven to be change agents. We need leaders who have a grasp and understanding of the times in which we live, recognizing the spiritual battles many face in the midst of the storms of life.  We live in a world of cultural clashes at battle for the very moral soul of a generation.  Excellence is at war with mediocrity, righteous passion is being robbed by lethargy and apathy, and in the name of relevance we are willing to compromise our convictions.  Genuine passion for God allows no room for compromise nor mediocrity.

John R. Mott, a Nobel Peace Prize recipient in 1946 said, “Evangelism without Social Work is deficient, but Social Work without Evangelism is Impotent.”  Today when many are willing to compromise their convictions for a social gospel, and others are satisfied to proclaim a gospel without tangibility, we can be encouraged by the fact that there are those that rise above the crowd who by their very life provokes us to greater things.  Fame can come in a moment, but greatness comes with longevity.  Determine to draw from a life of prayer, provoking you to a life of character and commissioning you with compassion for this generation.  Determine to have your expectation in God raised, your call to consecration deepened, thus being wholly surrendered to God”s divine purposes and plans for your life and ministry.
